We stopped in Kingman Arizona on our way back to Vegas where vintage style surrounded each block. The light was bright but softened by a thin layer of cloud in order to defuse the light creating a beautiful classic desert feel to the image. And if you are ever in Kingman, I highly recommend the milk shake at Mr D’s.
You certainly do get your kicks on route 66.
